• First set of EAvCares achievements awarded

    by  • December 13, 2011 • News

A few weeks ago we announced EAvCares — an initiative on Empire Avenue where real world charitable activity can generate an in-game benefit.

We’re doing well so far, current donations will provide 31 people with access to clean water. But as you can see, we’re still quite far from our goal.

But, the project has been going for a while, so today we’ve distributed the first wave of achievements to Empire Avenue members who’ve participated. For a full list of donors, check out the chart at EAvCares.

    To recap:

Our goal is to raise $5,000. $5,000 is the average amount of an entire water project. We will help provide clean water to about 250 people — an entire community. If we achieve our goal, an Empire Avenue plaque will be installed at the site.

Here’s what you have to do:

    • Donate at least $25.
    • There are also achievements for $50, $100, $250, $500
    • When you donate, your gift must be public. (List below)
    • You must include your EAv ticker in the comments.
    • You will receive your achievement in a few days.

If you’d like to read more about EAvCares, haven’t participated yet, or perhaps increase your donation, visit http://mycharitywater.org/eavcares

Good news! Glad to see the list is growing from people helping the cause. I will look for the achievement on EA. I hope we reach our goal. It looks like we need to do more outreach inside Empire Avenue.

      Hi Berrie,

Unfortunately no, it appears that Charity Water doesn’t support PayPal.

Heh, *blush* yep, it’s there, but we don’t have icons etc. You can get this (and most wordpress blogs) RSS feed by appending /feed to the base URL. In our case, it’s http://blog.empireavenue.com/feed

I’ll get the dev guys to update that soon.
